I tumori dell'orbita possono essere benigni o maligni e insorgono principalmente all'interno dell'orbita o secondariamente da una sede vicina, come le palpebre, i seni paranasali o in sede endocranica. I tumori orbitali possono anche essere metastatici da siti differenti. Nella maggior parte dei casi sono benigne, ma i tumori possono aumentare di dimensione con il passare del tempo e provocare problemi oculari, dovuti alla compressione di altre strutture dell’area.
